Reliable Maintenance for Sustainable Living

Solar Maintenance

Keep Your Solar Panels Running for Years with Our Maintenance Services

No upfront cost on panels, cabling, labour and accessories with 0% interest

If you have a solar power system installed by Ecopense you can sleep peacefully knowing they come with minimum 10-year warranties for the inverters and 15-years for the panels. That is because we use reputable brands that provide reliable products. This also means maintenance is kept to a minimum.

Nevertheless, it is important that maintenance is carried out on your solar panel system. Undertaking regular maintenance will ensure your solar panel system is operating safely, correctly, and efficiently. And, in the case you have yourself a shoddily installed solar power system, you will probably require maintenance to keep it functioning at all.

Over time, dust and debris will build up on your solar panels, which may compromise the performance of your solar panel system. In addition, water and moisture seepage, vermin, hail, wind, and extreme temperatures can all cause damage or deterioration to your system.

By ensuring regular routine maintenance is undertaken, you can ensure your solar panel system is safe for everyone living in the premises. It is also important for the electrical workers working on the electricity grid, as a fault in your PV system might have repercussions further along in the power lines.

Most of all though, you’re doing yourself a favour as routine maintenance will also ensure system performance is maintained, allowing you to maximise savings on your power bills for the system’s entire lifetime.

Just like running a car, regular servicing is the best way to ensure your solar panel system keeps operating safely, correctly, and efficiently.

The Clean Energy Council recommends the following maintenance take place:

  • Visually inspect modules (Annually)

  • Check mechanical integrity of array structure (Annually)

  • Clean modules, As required (dependent on site)

  • Trim vegetation shading the array, As required (dependent on site)

  • Inspect and clean inverter (Annually)

  • Check all cabling for mechanical damage (Annually)

  • Check output voltage and current of each string of the array and compare with expected output under existing conditions (Annually)

  • Check electrical wiring for loose connections (Annually)

  • Check the operation of the disconnectors and circuit breakers (rooftop switch-disconnector, inverter AC disconnector, & solar supply main switch) (Annually)
